City of Saint Paul Proclaims “Melaleuca Day” for Extraordinary Philanthropy in Support of Veterans, Soldiers and Community
Whereas, Melaleuca is partnering with A Taste of Minnesota on the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration which will be the largest fireworks show in Minnesota from June 30 to July 4, 2006; and
Whereas, the fireworks show will enable hundreds of thousands of people, over the course of five nights, to celebrate our national heritage and freedom; and
Whereas, the fireworks show will be a special salute to our country’s veterans, active duty personnel, and those who serve to protect us American soil; and
Whereas, it is commendable that Melaleuca is in partnership with A Taste of Minnesota and Metro Transit to provide disabled veterans with free bus rides to and from this year’s festival; and
Whereas, Melaleuca’s partnership with A Taste of Minnesota reflects the company’s larger commitment to honoring veterans and patriotism; and
Whereas, Melaleuca has honored the City of Saint Paul for five consecutive years by sponsoring fireworks on Saint Paul’s Harriet Island;
Now, Therefore, I, Christopher B. Coleman, Mayer of the City of Saint Paul, do hereby proclaim Friday, June 30, 2006 to be
Melaleuca Day
