The strongest companies are built on more than products and profits. They are shaped by people who care about their work, about each other and about a mission they believe in. That is the culture Team Members describe at Melaleuca, and this year, the country took notice.

On June 30, 2026, U.S. News & World Report recognized Melaleuca: The Wellness Company as one of the Best Companies to Work For in America in its 2026-2027 ratings.

Melaleuca earned recognition in three categories: Best Companies to Work For Overall, Best Companies to Work For in the West and Best Companies to Work For in Health Care and Research.

Recognition in any one of these categories would be noteworthy. Melaleuca earned all three.

U.S. News organizes its Best Companies ratings by industry and geographic region to help job seekers identify employers in their fields and communities that may be a good fit. Melaleuca’s three honors demonstrate its strength from three perspectives: as a top employer nationally, as a Best-in-the-West workplace, and as a leader within the health care, research and wellness industry.

The United States is home to millions of employers. Against that vast national landscape, U.S. News & World Report recognized Melaleuca among a select group of companies distinguished by the quality of their workplace and Team Member experience.

U.S. News created its first Best Companies to Work For list in 2023. Its ratings are based on publicly available employee sentiment, workplace data, editorial analysis and input from an expert panel. Companies do not nominate themselves for consideration.

Readers can learn more about the evaluation process by reviewing U.S. News & World Report’s methodology or explore the publication’s complete company rankings.

U.S. News evaluated six areas of everyday working life: quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, and career opportunities and professional development.

Melaleuca scored highest in comfort and professional development and earned a perfect 5 out of 5 in both belongingness and stability. Those measures reflect whether people feel they belong and whether they believe the company is built to last.

“You won’t find a bunch of big egos here,” said Todd Cadwallader, international workforce manager. “People are friendly and hardworking. We joke around, we help each other out, and it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming to in the morning.”

The recognition points back to a principle that has guided Melaleuca since its founding: enhancing lives, including the lives of its own Team Members and their families.

That commitment shows up in how long people stay. Team Members remain with Melaleuca more than twice as long as the typical American worker. They stay where they feel valued, where their work has meaning and where they can see a future.

Since 2024, Melaleuca has awarded 642 internal promotions to Team Members, supported by development programs, mentorship and opportunities across the company.

“At Melaleuca, you really feel like your work matters,” said Heidi Weiers, senior marketing operations manager. “We’re surrounded by people who care about doing things right and helping others. It’s motivating to be part of a company that lives its mission every day.”

Melaleuca Is Being Discovered: Several National Awards

The U.S. News recognition adds to a growing list of national honors for Melaleuca. As Melaleuca founder and Executive Chairman Frank VanderSloot has said, “Melaleuca is being discovered.”

TIME has recognized Melaleuca as one of America’s Best Private Companies. USA TODAY has named it one of America’s Most Trusted Brands and one of America’s Best Stores.

Forbes recently ranked Melaleuca the No. 2 Best Brand for Value in America, behind only Costco. Forbes has also named Melaleuca one of America’s Best Midsize Employers four times and one of America’s Best Employers for Women.

That recognition for supporting women in the workplace has been echoed closer to home. In 2024, the Idaho Business Review presented Melaleuca with its Empowering Women Award for demonstrated efforts to hire, promote, mentor and support women. The Alturas Institute also honored Melaleuca with its 2023 Susan B. Anthony Award for advancing women’s careers and creating a supportive environment for their professional and personal growth.

These honors come from independent media organizations and research firms using different methodologies and measures. Yet they continue to reach a consistent conclusion about Melaleuca’s strength as an employer, a brand and a company.

Taken together, they affirm something Melaleuca has believed from the beginning: Lasting value starts with a culture where good people belong, grow and do meaningful work. That culture is built every day by Melaleuca’s Team Members, whose believe in the mission continues to strengthen the company and enhance the lives it touches.
