Ernst & Young: Entrepreneur of the Year
Recognizing Frank’s innovative business strategies, Ernst & Young honored Frank with their 2001 Retail/Consumer Entrepreneur of the Year award, co-sponsored by CNN, USA Today, and NASDAQ. Through the Entrepreneur of the Year program, Ernst & Young celebrates “ambitious visionaries who are leading successful, dynamic businesses.”
Better Business Bureau: Torch Award
The Better Business Bureau presented Melaleuca with the 2008 Torch Award, honoring Melaleuca for its example of ethics and integrity in dealing with employees, customers, and the community.
US Chamber of Commerce: Blue Chip Award
Melaleuca was chosen by the US Chamber of Commerce to receive the prestigious Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative Award. The award recognized Melaleuca’s ability to “manage resources to overcome adversities” and for the “competent, resilient management” of Melaleuca’s leadership.
ESGR: Patriot Award
Melaleuca IT Director James Andersen was honored with the Patriot Award for his exemplary respect, appreciation, and compassion for the wife of a deployed Army sergeant on his team.
Alturas Institute: John and Abigail Adams Award
Frank and Belinda VanderSloot were honored by the Alturas Institute for creating a consumer protection fund that defends Idahoans from excessive attorney fees in medical debt collection cases.
Boy Scouts of America: Distinguished Citizen Award
The Grand Teton Council of the Boy Scouts of America presented the Distinguished Citizen Award to Melaleuca CEO Frank VanderSloot for exemplifying the 12 points of the Scout law and for supporting the community through various efforts.
Idaho State University: Business Leader of the Year
Idaho State University named Frank as Idaho’s Business Leader of the Year! The ward recognized Frank’s many contributions, entrepreneurship, and positive impact on the state of Idaho and Idahoans.
Inc. 500 Hall of Fame
Each year in October, Inc. Magazine releases its Inc. 500 issue, which lists the fastest-growing privately held US companies. Melaleuca has been on the Inc. 500 five times. At the time of Melaleuca’s recognition, only 55 companies had ever been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Forbes: America’s Best Employers for Women
The Wellness Company landed on Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers for Women 2021, highlighting the company’s policies regarding parental leave, family support, flexibility, and salary. Melaleuca was also the only company in Idaho to make the list.
